Berserker Guide

Berserker Overview

Berserker is an Orc melee class.

Berserker fights close to the enemy and can be built in two main damage directions:

  • Crit Berserker
  • Cast Berserker

Both builds are melee Berserker builds. Cast Berserker does not mean Mage-style gameplay. It means skill-based Berserker that relies more on skill damage, cast/cooldown flow, and debuffs.

Crit Berserker is closer to the Knight-style crit path. It focuses on strong melee hits, critical damage, and direct pressure.

Berserker also has a Hybrid / Tank setup for PvP, bosses, Heaven’s Hell, Firmament, Monster Hunt, and dangerous farming.

Main Berserker setups:

BuildBest useMain idea
Crit BerserkerFarming, PvE, PvP pressureCritical melee damage and direct burst
Cast BerserkerSkill-based farming, PvE, PvP utilitySkill damage, cast/cooldown flow, debuffs
Hybrid / Tank BerserkerPvP, bosses, hard maps, Monster HuntSurvive focus and keep pressure in melee range

New players can level with either Crit or Cast, but they should not mix both into one bad setup.

Use separate sets:

  • Crit Set
  • Cast Set
  • Hybrid / Tank Set
  • Buff Set later
  • Boss Set later

Berserker is strong because he has:

  • Strong melee pressure
  • Good farming when geared correctly
  • Good PvP pressure
  • Useful debuffs
  • Good survival options
  • Strong close-range damage
  • Flexible Crit and Cast build options

Berserker is weak when:

  • He overpulls with weak gear
  • He uses the wrong weapon buff
  • He mixes Crit and Cast gear badly
  • He enters hard maps with no survival set
  • He chases too deep in PvP
  • He upgrades bad armor yellows into endgame gear

Important weapon note:

The standard Berserker direction should focus on Axe and Power Axe.

A two-hand weapon setup can be used, but it is not the most popular community direction. Mention it as an option for players who want to test it, not as the main beginner recommendation.

First Steps as a Berserker

Berserker starts in Golundo Village.

First, claim your level-up rewards from the Event NPC / reward NPC.

Equip your starter armor and weapon.

Open your inventory with B and activate:

  • Lens Stone+
  • Compound Potion
  • Pet
  • Life Potions
  • Mana Potions

Your pet collects drops while you farm. Keep it active.

Use Ctrl + Left Double Click to lock important items.

Berserker is melee, so every monster you pull can hit you. Do not copy ranged-class farming habits. Start small, test your damage, then increase pull size when your gear is ready.

Basic Berserker Rules

Follow these from level 1.

RuleWhy it matters
Use Axe as your main standard weaponCurrent community direction is built around Axe / Power Axe
Keep Lens Stone+ activeFaster farming and better damage
Keep Compound Potion activeBetter damage, cast/cooldown flow, and smoother skills
Keep pet activeDrops are collected automatically
Upgrade weapon firstBerserker damage depends heavily on weapon power
Do not overpull earlyMelee classes take damage from every mob around them
Choose Crit or CastDo not mix both into one weak setup
Build Hybrid / Tank gear laterNeeded for PvP, bosses, HH, Firmament, and Monster Hunt
Learn gear switchingBerserker needs damage and survival sets

Correct Berserker farming style:

  1. Buff first.
  2. Pull a controlled group.
  3. Let mobs group in front of you.
  4. Use your Crit or Cast rotation.
  5. Use survival skills if HP drops.
  6. Move to the next pack.
  7. Switch Hybrid / Tank gear when mobs hit too hard.

Bad Berserker farming style:

  • Pulling a whole cave room with weak armor.
  • Using the wrong weapon buff.
  • Trying to be Crit and Cast in the same set.
  • Farming hard maps with no survival switch.
  • Chasing players too deep in PvP.
  • Upgrading bad HH yellows into Nightfall.

Berserker Weapon Choice

The standard Berserker weapon direction is Axe.

Use Axe with Power Axe.

This should be the main recommendation for new players.

Berserker also has Power Blade and can use a two-hand weapon path, but the two-hand style is not the most popular community setup. Mention it as an option, not as the main guide path.

Axe

Use Axe if you want the standard Berserker route.

Axe is best for:

  • Normal Berserker progression
  • Farming
  • Crit build
  • Cast build
  • PvP pressure
  • Boss fights
  • HH and Firmament progression

Axe rule:

If you use Axe, keep Power Axe active.

Two-hand weapon option

Two-hand weapon can be used by players who want to test another melee style.

Use it only if:

  • You understand the skill setup.
  • You have the right weapon.
  • You have the right yellows.
  • You are not blindly copying Axe build gear.
  • You are ready for lower community support because it is less popular.

Do not push two-hand weapon as the beginner route.

For a new Berserker, Axe is the safer and cleaner recommendation.

Berserker Skill Sets

Berserker should use separate skill sets.

Main sets:

Skill setUse
Crit SetFarming, PvE damage, PvP burst
Cast SetSkill damage, farming, PvP utility
Hybrid / Tank SetPvP, bosses, HH, Firmament, dangerous pulls

Press F9 to open the Set Switch window.

Use Crit Set when your gear is built for critical melee damage.

Use Cast Set when your gear is built for skill damage, cast speed, cooldown, and debuff flow.

Use Hybrid / Tank Set when mobs or players hit too hard.

Do not try to run Crit and Cast in one same setup.

Build separate sets and switch based on the situation.

Crit Berserker

Crit Berserker is the direct melee damage setup.

Use Crit Berserker if you want:

  • Strong melee hits
  • Critical damage
  • Direct pressure
  • Simple farming flow
  • PvP burst
  • Knight-like damage logic with Berserker tools

Crit Berserker focuses on:

  • Critical Hit Rate
  • Critical Damage
  • Damage
  • Heroic Attack Power
  • Attack Rating
  • Attack Speed
  • Weapon damage
  • Ignore Defense / Ignore Block if available
  • Enough HP to survive melee range

Crit Berserker is good for:

  • Leveling
  • Farming
  • Realms
  • Shinewood
  • HH if you survive
  • PvP pressure
  • Boss damage

Weakness:

Crit Berserker can die fast when he pulls too much or gets focused in PvP. Use Hybrid / Tank switch when needed.

  4. AoE skills
  5. Debuffs
  6. Control skills
  7. Heroic Crit direction later

Cast Berserker

Cast Berserker is a skill-based melee Berserker.

It does not mean Berserker becomes a Mage.

Cast Berserker still fights in melee range, but the setup focuses on:

  • Skill damage
  • Cast speed
  • Cooldown reduction
  • Skill rank
  • Debuffs
  • Heroic damage
  • Smooth skill rotation
  • Enough survival to stay alive in melee range

Cast Berserker is good for:

  • Skill-based farming
  • AoE farming
  • PvP utility
  • Debuff pressure
  • Boss pressure
  • Players who prefer skill rotation over crit hits

Weakness:

Cast Berserker needs correct gear. If you use Crit uniques and Crit stones on a Cast setup, the build will feel weak.

Cast Berserker Skills

Important Cast Berserker skills:

Hybrid / Tank Berserker

Hybrid / Tank Berserker is used when full damage dies too fast.

Use it for:

  • PvP
  • Siege
  • Bosses
  • Heaven’s Hell
  • Firmament
  • Monster Hunt
  • Open-world danger
  • Hard farming zones

Hybrid / Tank focuses on:

  • Max HP
  • Defense
  • Block
  • Skill Block
  • Dodge / Evade
  • Physical Resistance
  • Elemental Resistance
  • Heroic Resistance
  • Critical Hit Resistance
  • Damage Taken Reduction
  • Stun Duration Reduction
  • Slow Duration Reduction
  • HH Effect Duration Reduction
  • Skill rank
  • Enough damage to still farm

Hybrid is not a weak build. It is the setup that lets you keep farming instead of dying every pull.

Berserker Leveling Guide

Berserker follows the Orc-side early route first.

Route:

  1. Golundo Village
  2. Worshipper Settlement portal
  3. Tomb of the Dead
  4. Trilgard
  5. Expedition Camp Side portal
  6. Sealed Mine
  7. Corrosion Cave near Trilgard
  8. Asylum
  9. Realms
  10. Shinewood
  11. Heaven’s Hell

Do not skip the early Orc route. New Berserker players need to know where to go.

Levels 1 to 11: Golundo Village

Start in Golundo Village.

Farm nearby monsters outside the village.

What to do:

  1. Claim level-up rewards.
  2. Equip starter armor.
  3. Equip starter weapon.
  4. Activate pet.
  5. Activate Lens Stone+.
  6. Activate Compound Potion.
  7. Put potions on your skill bar.
  8. Kill nearby starter mobs.
  9. Pull small groups only.

Crit Berserker should focus on direct hits and early damage skills.

Cast Berserker should focus on smooth skill rotation and not overpulling.

Goals:

  • Learn basic melee farming.
  • Get comfortable with potions.
  • Keep pet active.
  • Prepare for Tomb of the Dead route.

Levels 11 to 24: Worshipper Settlement → Tomb of the Dead

After outside mobs become slow, move to Tomb of the Dead.

To reach it, use the Worshipper Settlement portal.

How to go there:

  1. Return to Golundo Village.
  2. Find the portal.
  3. Select Worshipper Settlement.
  4. After teleporting, locate Tomb of the Dead.
  5. Enter the cave.
  6. Start with small pulls.
  7. Farm room by room.

Inside Tomb of the Dead:

  • Pull mobs toward you.
  • Let them group.
  • Use AoE only when they are close enough.
  • Use potions before HP gets too low.
  • Do not stand in the middle of a full room with weak gear.
  • Move deeper only when mobs die quickly.

Crit Berserker inside Tomb:

  • Use direct damage and early AoE.
  • Build around physical/critical pressure.
  • Upgrade weapon if mobs die slowly.

Cast Berserker inside Tomb:

  • Use skill rotation.
  • Keep cast/cooldown flow smooth.
  • Do not pull too much before skills are ready again.

Levels 24 to 31: Trilgard → Expedition Camp Side → Sealed Mine

After Tomb of the Dead becomes slow, move to the next Orc route.

Go to Trilgard and use the portal to Expedition Camp Side.

From Expedition Camp Side, locate Sealed Mine.

How to go there:

  1. Return to town.
  2. Travel to Trilgard.
  3. Open the Trilgard portal.
  4. Select Expedition Camp Side.
  5. After teleporting, find the Sealed Mine cave entrance.
  6. Enter Sealed Mine.
  7. Farm room by room.

What to do inside Sealed Mine:

  • Test the first room with a small pull.
  • Pull mobs to one side.
  • Use Crit or Cast rotation depending on your build.
  • Rotate rooms instead of waiting in one empty room.
  • Upgrade weapon if mobs die slowly.
  • Move deeper only when the entrance rooms feel easy.

Goals:

  • Continue leveling after Tomb of the Dead.
  • Improve weapon and accessories.
  • Get ready for Corrosion Cave.
  • Reach the level range where Asylum is close.

Levels 31 to 45: Corrosion Cave near Trilgard

After Sealed Mine becomes slow, move to Corrosion Cave.

Corrosion Cave is near Trilgard.

How to go there:

  1. Return to Trilgard.
  2. Locate the Corrosion Cave entrance near Trilgard.
  3. Enter the cave.
  4. Start with small pulls.
  5. Rotate rooms.
  6. Farm until you can use Asylum Passport at level 45.

What to do inside Corrosion Cave:

  • Pull controlled groups.
  • Let mobs group in front of you.
  • Use AoE after grouping.
  • Do not pull the full room if you are undergeared.
  • Use damage set if you survive.
  • Use safer gear if HP drops too fast.

Crit Berserker advice:

This is a good place to test your critical damage. If kills are slow, improve weapon and damage accessories.

Cast Berserker advice:

This is a good place to test your skill flow. If your skills feel slow, improve cast/cooldown value and skill rank where possible.

Goals:

  • Farm until level 45.
  • Prepare for Asylum.
  • Improve weapon.
  • Start thinking about Crit or Cast direction.

Level 45 to 54: Asylum First Floor

At level 45, use Asylum Passport from level-up rewards.

How to continue:

  1. Open inventory.
  2. Use Asylum Passport.
  3. Enter Asylum First Floor.
  4. Rotate between main farming rooms.
  5. Pull controlled groups.
  6. Use Crit or Cast rotation.
  7. Farm until level 54.

What to do:

  • Do not wait in one room.
  • Rotate rooms.
  • Use AoE on grouped mobs.
  • Keep Lens Stone+ and Compound Potion active.
  • Upgrade weapon if mobs die slowly.

Levels 54 to 67: Asylum Second Floor

Move to Asylum Second Floor.

Farm Succubus and big rooms.

What to do:

  1. Enter Asylum Second Floor.
  2. Start with a medium pull.
  3. Let mobs group.
  4. Use Crit or Cast AoE rotation.
  5. Use survival tools if HP drops.
  6. Rotate big rooms.
  7. Farm until level 67.

Crit Berserker:

  • Use strong melee hits and AoE.
  • Focus on damage and critical pressure.
  • Keep weapon upgraded.

Cast Berserker:

  • Use skill rotation.
  • Focus on skill damage and cooldown flow.
  • Do not overpull if skills are not ready.

Levels 67 to 70: Asylum Third Floor

Move to Asylum Third Floor.

Mobs hit harder here.

What to do:

  1. Enter Asylum Third Floor.
  2. Test a small pull.
  3. Use damage rotation.
  4. Use debuffs if mobs are hard.
  5. Use survival tools if HP drops.
  6. Farm carefully until level 70.

If you die too much here, do not rush into Realms.

Fix:

  • Weapon
  • Stones
  • Armor
  • Accessories
  • Pull size

Poison Realm is where you start preparing two setups:

  • Damage setup for farming
  • Hybrid / Tank setup for survival

Realm Monster Hunt / Boosted Event Mobs

When Monster Hunt or boosted event mobs are active in Realm maps, prioritize them if your Berserker can survive.

Berserker is good during event spawns because mobs naturally group around melee classes.

Safe event method:

  1. Stand near the edge of the spawn.
  2. Pull a medium group.
  3. Let mobs group.
  4. Use AoE.
  5. Use survival skills and potions if HP drops.
  6. Switch Hybrid / Tank gear if needed.

Bad event method:

  • Running into the full spawn.
  • Pulling everything at once.
  • Farming in full damage with weak armor.
  • Forgetting potions.
  • Not switching gear when HP drops.

Level 99+: Shinewood / Ellore

At level 99, stop using Realm maps as your main path.

Move to Shinewood / Ellore.

How to reach Shinewood:

  1. Finish Realm farming.
  2. Return to Triglard or main city.
  3. Open city/world portal.
  4. Select Shinewood or Ellore.
  5. Enter Shinewood.
  6. Find the Ellore quest area.
  7. Start Shinewood quests.
  8. Farm nearby mobs and collect materials.

Why Berserker goes to Shinewood:

  • Realms become slower later.
  • Shinewood gives better progression after level 99.
  • Shinewood quests give useful materials.
  • You prepare for Heaven’s Hell.
  • You work toward Realm and gear progression.
  • You start needing proper Damage ↔ Hybrid / Tank switching.
  • You test whether your Berserker is ready for HH.

Useful rewards include:

  • Shard of Rebirth
  • Tempering Gems

Before Shinewood, prepare:

  • Strong axe
  • Good rings
  • Good necklace
  • Armor with useful stones
  • Pet active
  • Lens Stone+
  • Compound Potion
  • Damage ↔ Hybrid / Tank switch
  • Buff ↔ Fight switch
  • Enough potions

Level 100+: Heaven’s Hell World

At level 100, start Heaven’s Hell progression.

Do not enter HH like a normal farming map.

HH monsters are stronger and Berserker needs better gear.

How to reach Heaven’s Hell:

  1. Finish Shinewood preparation.
  2. Return to the portal area.
  3. Open world/zone portal.
  4. Select Heaven’s Hell.
  5. Start with Flames of Hell.
  6. Move to Bloodline of Life at 106+.
  7. Move to Blade Storm Mountain at 113+.

HH path:

106 to 113Bloodline of LifeContinue HH leveling, join Monster Hunt when active
113 to 120Blade Storm MountainFinal leveling path to 120

Why Berserker goes to HH:

  • Main level 100+ leveling path
  • Leads toward HH armor
  • HH armor prepares Berserker for Nightfall Armor
  • HH quests give important rewards
  • Monster Hunt can speed up leveling
  • Endgame starts here

Before HH, prepare:

  • Crit or Cast damage gear
  • Hybrid / Tank gear
  • Damage ↔ Hybrid / Tank switch
  • Buff ↔ Fight switch
  • Strong axe
  • Good rings
  • Good necklace
  • Armor with useful Berserker yellows
  • Better stones
  • Potions
  • Correct Oread if available

Flames of Hell: Level 100 to 106

Start carefully.

What to do:

  1. Enter Flames of Hell.
  2. Start with small pulls.
  3. Test how much damage mobs deal.
  4. Use Crit or Cast damage gear if you survive.
  5. Use Hybrid gear if damage is too high.
  6. Complete HH quests when possible.
  7. Farm until Bloodline of Life.

Berserker advice:

  • Group mobs before AoE.
  • Do not pull the whole area.
  • Use survival skills when HP drops.
  • Switch Hybrid / Tank gear if mobs hit too hard.

Bloodline of Life: Level 106 to 113

Bloodline of Life is harder.

This is also a key Monster Hunt area.

When Monster Hunt is active, additional mobs spawn and give boosted EXP. This is a strong leveling window, but more mobs also means more danger.

What to do:

  1. Enter Bloodline of Life at 106+.
  2. Start with smaller pulls.
  3. Use damage setup if safe.
  4. Use Hybrid if mobs hit too hard.
  5. Use PvP / Tank setup if PvP starts.
  6. Join Monster Hunt only if you can survive the extra mobs.
  7. Farm toward 113.

Monster Hunt method:

  • Pull from the edge.
  • Group mobs.
  • Use AoE.
  • Use survival tools.
  • Do not stand inside the full spawn with weak gear.
  • Switch Hybrid / Tank if focused.

Blade Storm Mountain: Level 113 to 120

Blade Storm Mountain is the final main leveling zone before 120.

Before farming here, prepare:

  • Strong axe
  • Good rings
  • Good necklace
  • Useful armor yellows
  • Better stones
  • Damage ↔ Hybrid / Tank switch
  • Buff ↔ Fight switch
  • Correct Oread if available
  • Potions
  • Free inventory space

What to do:

  1. Enter Blade Storm Mountain at 113+.
  2. Test a small pull first.
  3. Use Crit or Cast damage if you survive.
  4. Use Hybrid if full damage dies too fast.
  5. Keep PvP / Tank set ready.
  6. Complete HH quests.
  7. Farm to level 120.

  • Hybrid / Tank Berserker
  • PvP
  • HH
  • Firmament
  • Bosses

Good HH armor helps Berserker because it can give:

  • Learned skill ranks
  • Max HP / MP
  • Defense
  • Skill Block
  • Block
  • Dodge
  • Resistances
  • Cooldown / cast flow if present
  • Movement value

Do not build HH armor with bad yellows if you plan to upgrade later.

Nightfall Armor for Berserker

Nightfall Armor is an endgame upgrade from HH armor.

Required materials:

MaterialAmount
Black Star Shard150
NightFall Core20

Gold200,000,000

Nightfall keeps:

  • Existing stones
  • Existing yellows
  • Reinforcement level
  • Slot count
  • Base stats

Then it adds 2 random bonus stats.

Do not upgrade a bad HH piece unless you are ready to keep its yellows and slots.

Best Nightfall focus:

Rifts test damage and survival.

If you kill fast but die often, use Hybrid gear.

If damage is too low, improve weapon, rings, necklace, and stones.

If mobs hit too hard, reduce pull size or switch tank gear.

The Shattered Firmament is level 117+ endgame content.

PvP Advice for Berserker

Berserker wins by staying alive in melee range.

Do this:

  • Use Axe as the standard weapon.
  • Keep Power Axe active.
  • Start dangerous fights in Hybrid / Tank gear.
  • Use Hook and control on priority targets.
  • Debuff before burst.
  • Use survival skills before you are almost dead.
  • Switch Hybrid / Tank gear when focused.
  • Stay with your party in siege.
  • Do not chase too deep.
  • Re-engage when cooldowns are ready.

Do not do this:

  • Do not mix Crit and Cast in one bad setup.
  • Do not use the wrong weapon buff.
  • Do not enter PvP in full damage with no switch.
  • Do not chase ranged classes into enemy backline alone.
  • Do not forget Oreads do not switch with gear sets.
  • Do not pull Monster Hunt mobs in full damage if you cannot survive.
  • Do not upgrade bad HH armor yellows into Nightfall.

Common Berserker Mistakes

Mistake 1: Mixing Crit and Cast in one setup

Crit and Cast need different gear.

Fix:

Build separate Crit and Cast sets.

Mistake 2: Using the wrong weapon buff

Power Axe is for Axe.

Power Blade is for Blade.

Fix:

Match the buff to your weapon.

Mistake 3: Ignoring Axe as the standard path

Two-hand weapon can be used, but it is less popular.

Fix:

Use Axe as the main recommendation unless you know exactly why you are testing two-hand.

Mistake 4: Overpulling early caves

Berserker is melee, so every mob can hit you.

Fix:

Pull controlled groups, then increase pull size when gear is ready.

Mistake 5: Ignoring weapon upgrades

If mobs die slowly, your weapon is usually the problem.

Fix:

Upgrade weapon before changing your whole build.

Mistake 6: No Hybrid set

Full damage is good until mobs or players start killing you.

Fix:

Build Crit ↔ Hybrid or Cast ↔ Hybrid switch.

Mistake 7: Pulling too many event mobs

Monster Hunt mobs are good XP, but they can kill weak Berserkers fast.

Fix:

Pull from edge, group mobs, AoE, switch tank if needed.

Mistake 8: Chasing too deep in PvP

Berserker can pressure hard, but chasing alone gets you killed.

Fix:

Stay with your party and re-engage with cooldowns.

Mistake 9: Upgrading bad HH yellows

Nightfall keeps your old yellows.

Fix:

Only upgrade HH pieces with yellows you are willing to keep.

Final Berserker Advice

Use Crit Berserker if you want critical melee damage.

Use Cast Berserker if you want skill damage, cast/cooldown flow, and debuff pressure.

Use Hybrid / Tank Berserker when full damage dies too much.

Use Axe as the standard weapon and keep Power Axe active.

Two-hand weapon can be used, but it is less popular and should not be pushed as the beginner route.

Berserker is strong because of melee pressure, Crit and Cast flexibility, debuffs, survival, and frontline presence.

Berserker is weak when built with mixed logic or when he overpulls with weak gear.

A good Berserker knows:

  • where to farm,
  • when to switch maps,
  • when to pull small,
  • when to use Crit setup,
  • when to use Cast setup,
  • when to switch Hybrid / Tank gear,
  • when to stop chasing,
  • when to replace bad gear before moving forward.

If you are lost after level 70, return to Triglard and use the portal route:

Ice Realm → Lightning Realm → Poison Realm → Shinewood → Heaven’s Hell.
