Patch Notes
Rebalance Patch v8.2
⚖️ Follow-up to v8.1 — Feedback Still OpenThis is the first round of adjustments on top of Rebalance v8.1, built from what you have told us since it went live.
Three things are happening here. The HH removal split is being undone — it was the most disliked entry in v8.1 and the arguments against it were good ones. Movement speed comes down across the handful of sources that were pushing it highest, and one class that had none gets some. And the Hold, Frenzy and Fear duration curves are finished: v8.1 changed ranks 5 and 6 but left the earlier ranks where they were, which left the curves uneven.
⏪ Rollbacks
HH Effect Removal — Split by Class
Restoredv8.1 narrowed each of these to one end of the cast — four could only clean your target, and Bow of Meditation could only clean the Archer who cast it. That is reversed. All five clean both the caster and the target again, exactly as they did before v8.1.
Bow of Meditation (Archer)
Ruins of Horror (Sorcerer)
Iron Protector (Elementalist)
Hand of Justice (Slayer)
Dragon Boon (Orbiter)
💨 Movement Speed
Frontline Step (Swashbuckler)
ReducedMovement Speed 21% → 16% at max rank. The full curve is now 1 / 3 / 6 / 10 / 13 / 16.
Archer's Eye (Archer)
ReducedMovement Speed 15% → 10% at max rank. The full curve is now 1 / 2 / 4 / 7 / 10.
Ultimate Rage (Berserker)
ReducedMovement Speed 15% → 10% on the cast form, at every rank. v8.1 moved this bonus onto the cast form only; this is the same bonus, 5 lower.
Stunner (Mage)
AddedStunner now grants Movement Speed, climbing one point per rank to 15%. The Mage was the one class with no movement buff of its own while every source around it was being trimmed.
🏆 Title Changes
The Sage & The Gladiator
ReducedBoth Schola titles carry Movement Speed 15% → 10%, in line with the skill changes above. Their Skill Cast Time and Critical bonuses are untouched.
⚔️ Crowd Control
Hold & Frenzy — Duration Curve
Reducedv8.1 set ranks 5 and 6 to 5s and 6s but left the ranks below them on the old curve, so rank 4 came out the same length as rank 5. The whole curve now climbs one second at a time: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 seconds. Rank 6 is unchanged from v8.1; ranks 1 to 4 come down.
Righteous Smite (Knight)
Cloud of Arrows (Archer)
Crimson Eye (Hunter)
Cry of Disorder (Berserker)
Life Black Fire (Sorcerer)
Lightning Frenzy Assault (Orbiter)
Prismatic Chain (Elementalist)
Spectral Storm (Elementalist)
Shrinking Punch (Slayer)
Sudden Twist Attack (Swashbuckler)
Fear — Duration Curve and Immunity
ReducedFear's lower ranks were still on the old curve after v8.1, which left rank 4 lasting longer than ranks 5 and 6. It now climbs the same way everything else does: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 seconds.
AddedFear now has a 30 second immunity window, shared across every skill that applies it. Once a Fear on you ends, no Fear can land on you again until the window is up. Hold and Frenzy have worked this way for some time; Fear was the one that could be chained back to back.
Scorpion Trap (Archer)
Storm Bite (Mage)
Painting Attack (Hunter)
Zone of Terrible Corpses (Sorcerer)
Eye of the Red Ranger (Ranger)
Resounding Destroyer (Orbiter)
Frightful Wingover (Summoner)
Restrain (Archer)
AddedRestrain now has a 30 second immunity window of its own. Once it ends on you, it cannot be reapplied until the window is up.
🗡 Skill Changes
Soul of the Impossible Weapon (Swashbuckler)
ChangedThis is no longer a combo finisher. The skills it used to chain into are gone from it, and it is now a straight damage skill built on the same shape as the Mage's Soul Bane.
Cooldown 20.0s → 8.0s
Cast Time 3.25s → 3.59s
ReducedIts damage lands at half of what the Mage version deals, so this is a faster and simpler skill rather than a stronger one.
Heroic Damage at max rank 2000 → 1400
Attack Damage at max rank 350% → 175%
RemovedIt no longer hits an area. Like Soul Bane, it now strikes a single enemy.
Now ignores Heroic Defence, as Soul Bane does
Its reach and its mana cost are unchanged — it stays a close-range skill, and it stays cheap.
Sudden Deluge (Mage)
AddedSudden Deluge now also lowers the target's Critical Hit Resistance by 5 for as long as it lasts. Its existing Ignore Attribute Defence debuff is unchanged, so this is added on top rather than traded for.
Diminishing Hex (Hunter)
AddedDiminishing Hex now strips the target's Dodge, climbing one point per rank to a maximum of 15.
