Rebalance Changes v7 is on Live

We hope you’re having a great week.

After a long break, we’re back with a new balance patch. First, we’d like to explain why it took so long.

The first reason is that after the Seasonal Server migration, we needed to finalize our plans in order to measure how the new upcoming content and stats would affect overall balance.

The second reason is that, as we mentioned in the previous announcement, we are now handling rebalancing with the active participation of a player. To make accurate evaluations, we waited for this player to test as many classes as possible on the live server.

The changes in this patch may be fewer than expected. The reason is that, as of today, we’ve decided to release rebalance patches more frequently with smaller adjustments. Instead of large patches every few months, we’ll move forward in smaller steps with lighter-impact changes.

 


 

General Arena Changes:

 - Increased the reduction of stun duration from 30% to 35%
 - Increased the damage reduction from 30% to 35%
 - Reduced effectiveness of Block, Dodge and Evade debuffs by 20%, similiar to Skill Block debuffs

 



Knight

To prevent Knights from being both a tank and a killer at the same time, we want players to clearly decide which direction they want to lean toward when building their skill setup. We want to increase the kill potential by strengthening Defence Breaker’s Critical Hit Resistance debuff. However, doing so will require sacrificing defansive skills and require more focused skill building.

 

Defence Breaker:

Scaling of Critical Resistance debuff has changed:

Godlike Discipline:

Sacrifice:

In our previous patches, we thought it would be good for the Knight to enter “burst” mode more frequently, similar to the Berserker. However, because the duration and cooldown are short—and since the Knight also has skills like Godlike Discipline and Energy Barrier—the Knight can use this safely as a permanent buff with little to no risk. For this reason, we are reverting the cooldown and duration to their previous values.

Archer

We know how difficult it is to play Archer. However, we still believe that in the hands of players who reach top potential, it becomes too overpowered. For this reason, we are reverting the Free Will change we made in previous patches.

Free Will:

CD cap has been reduced from 65% to 60%. 
And it no longer gives bonus Movement Speed.

 


 

Mage

We are reverting the change that removed Dimensional Resistance, which we had nerfed in earlier patches to make Mages more of a “glass cannon.” We hope the Antimagic nerfs we made will be sufficient for balance.

Black Staff Disease:

Range has been changed. 
Old: 20 meters
New: 10 meters


 Iron Staff:

Gets back the Dimensional Resistance. 
Scaling:  1/3/6/10/15/21




 

Berserker

With this patch, we believe we’ve found the middle ground. Axe Smash was too strong when it removed both block and dodge, but we saw its effectiveness drop more than expected when it removed both. For this reason, we are bringing back the Dodge debuff.

Axe Smash:

Gets back the Dodge debuff on Axe Smash and keeps the DoT.

Hunter

Due to a bug, this class had more “support” capability than intended. We are fixing this.

Dangerous Position:

Fixed the issue causing the skill absorbs Elemental Damage additionally while it supposed to be only Heroic Damage.


 

Sorcerer

We are reverting a change we introduced in the previous patch. We still have some ideas about this class’s balance, but we want to move forward after seeing the results of this patch.

Mana Pull:

No longer decreases Skill Casting Reduction.

 


 

Ranger

We believe that in some scenarios, Rangers can be weak against caster attackers, and that one of their most important HH skills does not provide enough value in return for the Skill Points invested.

Evade Slashing:

Increased the amount of Skill Block. 
Old: 1/2/3/4/5/6%
New: 2/4/6/8/10/12%

 

 



Slayer

In previous updates, we adjusted most classes’ party buffs to encourage greater variety in team play. However, the Slayer was left untouched — until now.

Zen Shield:

Gets Resistance back from Moral Courage. Also Skill Block scaling has been fixed to make transferred Skill Block amount to be exactly 10%.
